Animaccord is Spreading Happiness Among the Audience Through Live Events with Masha and the Bear
Animaccord, the international entertainment company and animation studio, is regularly taking its #1 worldwide preschool show Masha and the Bear off the screen and landing to the stage to offer fans a real-life experience with their favourite characters.
A strong brand presence and popularity across multiple territories, which was generated by the great-integrated licensing program of Animaccord, led a number of the major local B2C events to pick up Masha and the Bear property to entertain their visitors.
In Latin America, Animaccord has, together with its local partner EXIM Entertainment, put on a Masha and the Bear musical tour “Rescue in the circus”. The show is a huge success, as during the July holidays it became a TOP-2 show in terms of ticket sales in Buenos Aires, selling over 8K tickets and averaging over 98% venue occupancy. The release was supported by a massive promotional campaign, including outdoor billboards, TV, AM and FM radio broadcast, press and digital media coverage and more.
There is more good news in the region as “Masha and the Bear: Fun in the forest” is currently touring across several shopping malls in Brazil. The tour is operated by a new licensee, Cia de Cenarios, and will run from September to late October 2022.
In the Middle East, a non-ticketed Meet&Greet show about “Super Masha”, created and carried out by Animaccord's licensee for live events in MENA, EventBox, has rocked a shopping mall in UAE in August 2022 with a total occupancy of more than 26,000 attendees. Aside from the exciting stage performances with Masha and the Bear, families could also enjoy an interactive play area, where they could step into Masha’s world. Masha’s room was the perfect spot for dress-up, a fishing pond and picknick area hosted some fun and games for everyone, and in a colouring corner at Bear’s house kids could get creative. The promotions were supported by MBC3 channels and Simba Toys.
Animaccord has also seen a fruitful series of mall Meet&Greet events in Turkey handled by the licensee Sinecast, who is responsible for promotions with mascots in malls and municipalities. The tour, which provided an opportunity for families all across the country to enjoy a wonderful time together with the beloved cartoon heroes, continues for over a year of successful performance: 25 cities covered, 40 events held and thousands of kids happy.
In Europe, Animaccord has caught summer festival fever together with Italian licensee SoLuna Experience: Masha and the Bear joined a multi-branded white night fest Tuoro Bambini. In Spain and Portugal theatre lovers bring their children to see Masha’s adventures on stage “Rescate en el Circo”, toured by Lemon Live Entertainment during Spring and Fall 2022 and to be continued next year.
Moreover, as a special way to enjoy live events, Animaccord recognizes theme parks can fulfill the emotional touchpoint between fans across generations.
Throughout the 2022 season the company’s long-term licensee, Italian park Leolandia, is premiering two new Masha and the Bear stage shows, that will be performed cumulatively 1358 times in 194 days during the season. The 2 theatrical shows so far already collected more than 300,000 attendees and are an inseparable and beloved part of Masha experience in Leolandia, adored by kids and parents no less than visiting Bear’s yard or meeting mascots in person.
