Animaccord Group appoints Vladimir Gorbulya as new CEO

Vladimir Gorbulya, the former Head of Licensing | Vice President of Animaccord | Masha and the Bear, has been promoted to the position of new CEO of Animaccord Croup with effect from Jan. 1st, 2019.


Vladimir Gorbulya joined the company in January, 2012 with the aim of developing and promoting Animaccord’s Masha and the Bear property worldwide and focusing heavily on the licensing of consumer product, media and promotional deals.


With Vladimir Gorbulya at the helm, during the past 7 years Animaccord has succeeded in raising the profile of hit global property Masha and the Bear from local, CIS-level brand to receiving International recognition and acclaim. During his tenure, the company has seen Gross Revenue growth of 5 times in USD value, despite more than 2 times domestic market's currency depreciation, making Animaccord one of the TOP 100 licensors worldwide. Mr.Gorbulya has successfully executed an impactful International media strategy cementing partnership with global media majors for the cartoon broadcast (Netflix, Google, Corus, NBCUniversal, Sony, Viacom18, RAI, France TV, Televisa, SBT, etc.) driving Masha and the Bear brand awareness that supported a strong consumer products campaign for the property across multiple markets worldwide. He has developed a solid portfolio with global CP leaders for the production of licensed products including Ferrero, Simba Dickie Group, Hachette, Penguin Random House, and Clementoni. Together with his team, Mr.Gorbulya developed one of the most successful YouTube campaigns among kids' IPs (achieving over 42 BILLION views cumulatively and 44 MILLION subscribers) and implemented a strategic partnership with the Simba Dickie Group, now established shareholders in Animaccord.


In his new CEO role, Vladimir Gorbulya will manage the offices of Animaccord Group in the USA, Cyprus and Russia leading the company’s business diversification for 2019 and further.  Driving the company forward by exploring and acquiring new animated properties will be part of his overall remit going forward in order to instigate 360° brand development and expansion into global markets and across multiple areas of licensing.
